Quilt Commissions

A custom quilt is a great way to honor a special person in your life or bring joy to your own. These can be made to commemorate special events like housewarmings, graduations, birth, and more. 

Creating a custom quilt is all about collaboration. I work with you to create something that brings you joy and good vibes. A deposit is required to get on my calendar as I only take a limited number of commissions per year. If you'd prefer to have a consultation first, that can be done. Just know that your spot on the calendar is not confirmed until your deposit is paid. Once we've finalized a design, I'll send you an invoice for the deposit if it is not yet paid. The balance is due upon completion of the quilt and before it's delivered. These quilts start at $400 and go up depending on size and complexity of design. Custom quilts take 3 to 6 weeks to complete once it's your turn in the queue.

Here are a few things to note:

• I do not make t-shirt quilts. I'm happy to give you some suggestions of those who do.
• Quilting is a time-consuming process. Please understand that your quilt takes time to produce. 
• These are handmade items that can be passed down from generation to generation. Please expect to pay more than your average big box store.
• If you have a particular timeframe, please let me know. I will be honest about my ability to meet your deadline.
• I currently use patterns from other quilters. I am happy to create something for you if you don't see anything you like.
• Expect to have a consultation via phone, video chat, chat, or email. 
• Once I've started, your quilt design cannot be changed. 
• I use wool, cotton, or bamboo batting. If you have any allergies or aversions to these materials, please let me know.
